#333 ASA PLAY ON Ohio U +4 over Miami OH, Saturday at 3:30 PM ET - As we’ve mentioned before, we love looking for CFB underdogs that we anticipate will dominate the ground game. It’s been a long staple of our handicapping. This is one of those spots. Ohio U averages 205 YPG on the ground on 5.2 YPC, both top 30 marks. They will be running into a Miami OH defense that allows 168 YPG rushing on 4.6 YPC, both stats ranked 95th in the nation. On offense, the Redhawks average less than 100 YPG rushing on just 3.7 YPC (both outside the top 100). Miami had a rough schedule to start the season losing games vs Northwestern, Cincinnati, and Notre Dame, however when their schedule got easier they haven’t been all that impressive with the exception of one game. They lost by 10 to a Toledo team that is down this season, barely beat a bad UMass team in OT, and then last week rolled up a big win over EMU. That win is keeping this number higher than it should be in our opinion. Ohio’s only losses this season are @ Syracuse and @ Kentucky. This is a revenger for the Bobcats who lost last year at home as a 7.5 point favorite. Ohio outgained Miami OH in that game 363 to 291 but came up short. The Bobcats are in a better situational spot off a bye week and have better stats across the board. The dog has covered 4 of the last 5 in this MAC rivalry and we’ll call for Ohio to do it again.
