#218 ASA FREE PLAY ON Middle Tennessee State -10 over Charlotte, Saturday at 3:30 PM ET - This one sets up nicely for MTSU. The Blue Raiders are still in play for a bowl game with their current 4-5 record which makes this one pretty much a must win at home. Their offense should put up big numbers vs a Charlotte defense that ranks dead last in NCAA allowing 515 YPG and 42.8 PPG. The MTSU strength offensively is their passing game throwing for an average of 253 YPG facing a Charlotte defense that allows 293 YPG through the air ranking 126th. Charlotte sits with a 2-8 record so nothing to play for here. It looks like they may have thrown in the towel on the season last weekend getting thumped at home 59-7 by Western Kentucky. The 49ers did rally for a win a week prior vs Rice a game which came right after Charlotte fired their head coach. Instead of rallying for a 2nd straight week, they were blasted at home last Saturday as we mentioned and now go on the road vs a motivated team. Seven of Charlotte’s eight losses have come by at least 14 points and we see them losing this one by at least 2 TD’s vs an MTSU team playing their first home game since Oct 15th.
