#903 ASA FREE PLAY ON St Louis +105 over NY Mets, Monday at 7:10 PM ET - We really like this match up for the Cards tonight. The only thing keeping this as a lower rated play for us is the situation. St Louis played at home last night and then had to travel to NY while the Mets were at home yesterday afternoon. That being said, we still like St Louis here. The Mets are struggling a bit and just lost 2 of 3 at home to Seattle. Their only win in the series had a final score of 5-4 and NY was actually outhit by the Mariners 9 to 7 in that game. The Mets are 5-5 their last 10 games and they are hitting just .227 and were outscored 4.2 RPG to 4.5 RPG during that stretch. They are facing one of the top pitchers in the National League tonight so we don’t expect their offense to suddenly figure it out. Mikolas is on the mound for the Cards and he has allowed just 7 ER’s the entire season in 7 starts. His WHIP is 0.94 and opposing hitters are barely hitting .200 when his is on the hill. The Cardinals should also have their full bullpen available after beating the Giants 15-6 last night and using just 2 relievers for 1 inning each. STL manager Oliver Marmol actually pitched Albert Pujols in the 9th last night with a 15-2 lead to make sure he had all hands on deck for this one. Unlike the struggling Mets, the STL offense has been on a tear hitting .272 over their last 10 games outscoring opponents 5.8 RPG to 4.4 RPG. They are facing NY pitcher Williams who has been used mainly as a reliever this season and struggled in his only start giving up 4 ER’s on 7 hits in just 2 innings. Williams has never been overly reliable with an ERA north of 5.00 in 3 of his last 4 seasons. Our numbers have St Louis favored here and we’re getting them as a slight underdog. Take the Cardinals in this one.
