#963/964 ASA FREE PLAY ON Under 9 Runs – Colorado vs Arizona, Saturday at 8:10 PM ET - We were on the Under in this match up yesterday and cashed nicely with a 4-1 final. The game was 1-1 heading into the bottom of the 8th in that one. The DBacks continue to hit a league low .181 BA at the plate while hitting under .160 at home. As we mentioned yesterday, the Rockies have very solid overall offensive numbers but most of that is due to their home games in high altitude. On the road they are barely averaging 3 RPG and hitting below .230 as a team. Lefty Kyle Freeland is on the hill for Colorado and after struggling his first 2 starts of the season, he has been lights out. In his last 3 starts he has allowed 4 ER’s in 17 innings with 14 K’s and just 3 walks. His ERA is 4.85, mostly because of his first 2 starts, but his xFIP is only 3.74 telling us he’s pitching better than his overall numbers. The Arizona offensive numbers are poor overall, however vs lefties they are even worst hitting just .119 at home and average a ridiculous 1.2 RPG. Zach Davies gets the start for Arizona and after allowing 6 ER’s in his first 2 starts combined, he has since given up just 5 ER’s total over his last 3 starts. In his most recent start he did not allow an ER in 5 innings vs a solid St Louis offense. Davies has had very solid success vs players currently on the Colorado roster allowing a batting average of just .194 in 110 plate appearances. Arizona is 10-2-1 to the Under at home this year and we expect another lower scoring game tonight.
