Creighton made UConn's defense look like Swiss cheese in the first half yesterday, shooting over 75 percent, but they came back to earth in the 2nd half. Now, they face KenPom's top-ranked defense in St. John's. The Bluejays have already played twice in the Big East tourney, needing double OT to beat DePaul, and could have tired legs tonight.

St. John's has been on a hot streak offensively, but it wasn't all that hot against Marquette, especially for most of the first half and early in the second half. The Johnnies needed a big game from center Zuby Ejiofor, as they were inefficient overall (41%), especially from deep (5-for-18). Second-chance buckets and paint points will be harder to come by against 7-footer Ryan Kalkbrenner and Creighton, though (3rd in defensive rebounding and 8th in opponent near-proximity shooting percentage).

These teams combined for 113 points in their first matchup, as Creighton won 57-56. I don't anticipate tonight's total being that low, but 142.5 is too high for this game.
