Atlanta is rarely a large spread favorite, and it's not the type of team I trust to cover in this spot. Charlotte is coming off consecutive straight-up wins and has fared well against the Hawks. The Hornets covered as 5.5-point underdogs in both precious meetings this season and have covered in eight of the last ten matchups between these in-division rivals, winning six straight-up.

Charlotte isn't a deep team, but with Ball, Bridges, and Williams, it still has some star talent. Plus, the Hawks' lineup has been weakened by injuries and trades, as Young's supporting cast isn't nearly as solid as earlier this season. The Hawks' star guard is questionable to play, along with LeVert, after missing Monday's game against Philadelphia. While Young doesn't typically sit out consecutive games, Atlanta may decide it's best to rest him with the LA Clippers up next on the schedule.
