While I didn't see a lot of wiggle room with the initial three-point spread, I favor Purdue ATS at +5.5 on Tuesday versus Marquette.
The Boilermakers are off to a hot start, particularly from long range. Zach Edey is no longer patrolling the paint, but the Golden Eagles' frontcourt is thin and they haven't shown they are comfortable beating teams from the perimeter. The visitors have sharpshooters in Fletcher Loyer (70.6 3PT% on 4.3 attempts per game), Braeden Smith (career 40.3 3PT%) and Myles Colvin (43.8 3PT% on 4.0 attempts per game) who keep them within striking distance at all times. Trey Kaufman-Renn (18.0 PPG and 6.3 RPG) has taken a big step forward for Purdue this season and will be a challenge for the Marquette frontcourt to contain. I just don't see how Marquette can ever comfortably pull away.
