Result: Loss
This is a letdown spot for Oregon who played their biggest game of the season against Ohio State and came away with the win. Now they have to travel two time zones to play Purdue, who are off of a very good effort against Illinois that had them taking them to overtime and almost pulling off the upset with their backup quarterback who is a mobile QB. This is also a must win game for Purdue as their coach is on the hotseat and the entire program, so they should be dialed into this game as their offense seems to have gotten a much needed kick start with the QB change and limited tape out their on him. This is also a short week for the Ducks who haven't covered a large spread like this so far this season and have only put up a high of 37 points against Big 10 teams so far this season. They were 24 point favorites against the Spartans and didn’t cover. This is also a look ahead spot for them as they have Illinois on deck then Michigan so they may not give this game too much attention or intensity nor want to get any fresh injuries either. This game is more of just getting in and getting the win, and they will win comfortably but 4 TD is a little too much for this scheduling spot, especially if Oregon gets up early and then starts to rest players toward the 4th quarter. Purdue would be able to get some garbage time points and back door this game. Oregon will also be without their top pass rusher whose dealing with a knee injury. Teams like Oregon off a top 10 win as a favorite on the road are 11-20-1 against the spread since 2012. Purdue is 2-0 against the spread as an underdog of 21.5 to 31 points. Teams in the Big 10 travelling two plus time zones are 4-9 against the spread this season and they are in a short week.

Best bet: take the points with Purdue.
