This is a short number for Sam Houston and the books are still giving Western Kentucky more respect as they are one of the better teams in CUSA. However, SH at home this season has been a power and have beaten some good teams there, and also upset the conference favorite, the Texas State Bobcats. Western Kentucky is giving up 7.5 yards per play on the road to opponents while SH is only giving up 3.8 yards per play to opponents at home. Sam Houston has a great running game that the Hilltoppers will struggle to stop. SH should be able to score on this team who struggles to stop the run and the pass game. The Hilltoppers are 2-4 against the spread off a home win of 17 points or more. SH is 2-0 against the spread after scoring 37 plus points. Sam Houston State is 6-0 against the spread in their last 6 games against an opponent in CUSA. The Bearkats are a perfect 3-0 ATS when playing as at least 3 point favorites. This should be a very entertaining game but the edge has to go to the home team with the much better defense.
