Charlotte played well in their comeback win versus Rice last week. East Carolina may be the better team in this matchup but one can’t count out coach Biff Poggi at home in this spot to put up a spirited fight. Both should be able to move the ball on the field in this competitive matchup and the 49’s should keep this game within the number. The Pirates QB Garcia has also thrown 11 interceptions this season so that is something the 49's can capitalize on. These two played last season and this game was 10-7 with Charlotte winning in Greenville. ECU is 13-20 against the spread as a road favorite of 3.5 to 10 points. Charlotte is 4-2 against the spread as a home underdog of 7.5 to 14 points and they are 3-1 against the spread at home after a win by 6 or less points. ECU should win but this is too many points for a home team that beat the Pirates last season.
