This is a good bounce back spot for Coastal Carolina who lost a tough game to Virginia. They play Old Dominion who are struggling themselves, coming into this game with a 1-3 record and are 94th in scoring offense. ODU’s defense is leaky this season and Coastal can take advantage of that and get their points. ODU’s secondary is also thin and the Chanticleers can carve it up as well. The Monarchs have an uncomplicated offense by just running the ball, and are not good at it while they are really bad with their passing game. The Chanticleers should have their way in this one so laying the points has value. ODU are 1-5 against the spread in their last six against good teams rushing for more than 200 rushing yards per game. ODU are 0-2 against the spread off of an upset win as a road underdog of 10 or more. Coastal is 4-2 against the spread after a bye week. Coastal is 6-2 against the spread versus poor passing teams averaging 150 or less passing yards per game.
