Alabama is coming into this game with a 25-11 record this season and they have been playing very well in this tournament as they have won their last 4 straight games. They have not had the strongest path though as they have only seen 1 ranked team in their 4 games, beating UNC by 2 points, and they have struggled to pull away in their last 2 games as well. They are coming off of a 7 point win against Clemson in their last game and their offense has been great as they have scored 89 points in each of their last 2 games. Alabama has one of the best offenses in the country as they score a lot of points in their games and they even lead the country in points scored per game as they average 90.6, but they also have one of the worst defenses in the country as well as they have been averaging 81.1 points allowed per game which ranks 356th out of 362 teams in Division I. They are going up against a Connecticut team that is 35-3 this season and they have been the best team in the country recently by far. They have won 4 games in this tournament as well as winning their conference tournament and they have now won their last 11 straight games as they have been on fire. They have been dominant in these games as well as they have won their last 5 straight as well as 7 of their last 8 games by 10+ points, including all 4 of their games in this tournament. UConn also has a very good offense that is going to have no problem keeping up with Alabama here as they average 81.4 points scored per game. Alabama is going to have a big problem stopping this UConn offense though as their defense has been awful and UConn has one of the best defenses in the country as they only average 63.3 points allowed per game. Even in this tournament, UConn has allowed 52 points in 3 of their 4 games as well as allowing 58 points in the other, and that includes their win in their last game against Illinois who was one of the better offensive teams in the country. Alabama is going to run into the same problems here that Illinois ran into and Alabama will not be able to keep up on defense in this game. UConn will cover the spread here.
