Texas A&M is coming into this game with a 21-14 record this season and they were 9-9 in their conference. They have been playing well in their recent games as they have won 6 of their last 7 games but they were not one of the better teams in their conference this season. They have been scoring a lot of points recently which has been winning them a lot of games, but their defense has not been good in those as they have allowed at least 83 points in each of their last 3 games. Their shot defense does not even crack the top 100 in either category as well. They are going up against a Houston team that is 31-4 this season and they were 15-3 in their conference. They did not win their conference tournament but had the best record in the regular season and they have been playing very well recently as they have won 12 of their last 13 games. They are coming off of a 40 point win against Longwood in the last round and their last 4 straight wins have come by 10+ points as well. Houston also has the best defense in the country as they have allowed under 60 points in 5 of their last 6 games while also averaging 56.7 points allowed per game this season. Their shooting has not been great this season but it has still been much better than Texas A&M and their shot defense has also been much better as they have the best defense from the field as well as the 11th best 3 point defense in the country. Houston is also going to get up for this game with a chance to blow out another Texas team from a big conference like the SEC. Houston will cover the spread in this game.
