AMEDEUS' NBA SLAM DUNK!
(NBA) Miami vs. Philadelphia,
Point Spread: 2.50 | -107.00 Miami (Away)
Result: Loss
The Heat are coming into this game with a 37-30 record this season and they are a half game out of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference right now. They have been playing better in their recent games as they have won their last 2 straight games after going through a rough stretch of 4 straight losses. Their 2 wins both came against the Pistons and they are going to be on a back-to-back here, but Jimmy Butler did not play on Sunday and could be availbale for this game now. Even without Butler, the Heat won by 5 points over the 76ers in Philadelphia back in February. They are going up against a 76ers team that is also 37-30 this season and a half game behind the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, but the 76ers have also been awful since losing Joel Embiid and they have been consistently slipping down the standings over the last few weeks. They started the season as a very strong team at home but now they are just 20-15 there as their home record has been dwindling. They are coming off of a win at home against the Hornets in their last game but they have still been awful in their recent games as they have lost 2 of their last 3 as well as 5 of their last 7 games. These two sides may have the same record right now but they have been trending in complete opposite directions over the last few weeks as the 76ers came from much higher in the standings and have been slipping down while the Heat struggled in the 1st half of the season and have been storming up the standings now that they are back in playoff mode. The Heat will cover the spread in this game.
