Liberty is coming into this game with a 17-12 record this season and they have not been great in the conference at 6-8. They have not been playing well in their recent games as they have lost 3 of their last 4 games. They have 1 win in that span which came at home against New Mexico State who is 2nd from the bottom of the conference and they have struggled to keep their recent losses close with 2 of their last 3 losses being by 10+ points, including a 16 point loss at home against UTEP in their last game. They have also been awful on the road recently as they have lost their last 2 straight as well as 6 of their last 7 games on the road and their only win in that span was a 2 point win over UTEP. They are going up against a Middle Tennessee team that is 12-17 this season but they have not been any worse than Liberty in the conference at 6-8. They have lost 2 of their last 3 games with both losses coming on the road but they have actually been playing much better recently as they have still won 4 of their last 6 games. They are coming off of a road loss in their last game against Sam Houston who leads the conference and they are going to be hungry to bounce back here at home as they have been a much better team there all season. They lost their first 2 conference games of the season at home, losing to Louisiana Tech and Sam Houston who are both tied for 1st in the conference right now, but since then they have won their last 5 straight games at home. This is a game Middle Tennessee can win straight up at home but they are going to be right in it until the end even if they lose by just a few points.
