Villanova is coming into this game with an 11-7 record this season and they have not been great in their recent games. They are 4-3 in the conference this season but they have lost their last 2 straight as well as 3 of their last 4 games with their only win in that span coming at home against DePaul. They are coming off of a very close loss in their last game, losing by 1 point at home against UConn, but they just have not been able to keep up with the better teams in the conference as they also have road losses by 10+ points to Marquette and St John's in that span. They are going up against a St John's team that is 12-7 this season and has not been great recently as they have lost their last 3 straight games. They have had a much tougher schedule in that span though as they have road losses against Creighton and Seton Hall, losing to Creighton by just 1 point, and they are also coming off of a 1 point loss in their last game at home against Marquette. St John's already beat Villanova by 10 points on the road a few weeks ago but this is a very streaky Villanova team this year while St John's has been playing very well recently and will be hungry to bounce back after 3 straight losses with 2 of them coming by 1 point against ranked opponents.
