UC Davis is coming into this game with a 2-1 record this season and they are coming off of a loss in their last game. UC Davis finished last season 18-14 and they are returning over 70% of their minutes played as well as their scoring from last year. They should be looking to take a step forward this year with so many returning players but they have already been struggling in their first 3 games to start the season. They won their season opener at home against Jessup but followed up with a very tight win at home by 1 point over Pepperdine and now they are coming off of their 1st loss of the season which came by double digits on the road in Montana. They are going up against a North Dakota State team that is also 2-1 this season and has been playing much better in their first 3 games. North Dakota State finished last season 16-17 but they did have a winning record in the Summit League and are returning over 80% of their minutes played as well as around 74% of their scoring from last year. They will also be hungry to take a step forward this year with so many returning players and so far they have been playing well with a much tougher schedule. They opened their season with a road win over Western Michigan and followed up with a big home win against Mount Marty. They are coming off of a bad loss in their last game but they lost on the road to Creighton who is 8th in the country and they will be hungry to bounce back here. This game is at a neutral site but UC Davis just lost to Montana in that building and they are going to drop another game here to a much better team. North Dakota State will cover the spread in this game.
