The Broncos are coming into this game off of a loss to the Jets in their last game at home and they have been awful this season at 1-4 overall. As bad as the Broncos have been recently, their offense has actually been getting better as they have been scoring more points in their games. They have scored at least 20 points in each of their last 4 games and have scored over 30 points in 2 of those which is a big step forward from last year. Their problem this year has been their defense as they are allowing a lot of points and have one of the worst defenses in the NFL. Luckily for them though, Travis Kelce is now dealing with an injury that could keep him out of this game on a short week and he has pretty much been the Chiefs offense this year as he leads the team in receiving as a TE. The Chiefs offense has not been that good this season in general and without Kelce they are going to struggle a lot more to move the ball downfield. The Broncos have also been torched on the ground in every game this year so the Chiefs will try to lean on their good defense and running game which will shorten this game and eat up opportunities for the Chiefs to pull away by a lot. This game is also in prime time so the Broncos are going to try and bounce back here with a much better performance as they do not want to be embarrassed on the National stage any more than they already have been this season. The Broncos will be able to score some points in this divisional battle and the Chiefs will not be able to cover this large of a number on a short week as the Broncos will keep this a much closer and more respectable game. The Broncos will cover the spread in this game.
