The Bears are coming into this game with a 0-4 record this season but they played much better in their last game compared to their first 3 games of the season. They got blown out by double digits in their first 3 games but their last game was a loss by just 3 points. That is not a good loss considering how they were winning for most of that game and blew it in the 4th quarter but it is still a big improvement over the way they have been playing. They will be trying to build on that game after coming so close to a win and they will be hungry to get a win here on a short week as they are still winless this season. They are going up against a Commanders team that is only 2-2 this season and they have lost their last 2 games as well. They are coming off of a very close loss in OT against the Eagles in their last game and they poured a lot into that road game to try and beat their division rival. They are due for a bit of a let down here on a short week and even in their 2 wins this season, both have been by 4 points or less. The Bears were a lot better on offense in their last game as well and they will have their opportunities to score here since the Commanders have one of the worst defenses in the NFL. The Commanders have allowed over 30 points in each of their last 3 games and have been averaging 30 points allowed per game this season. Even if the Commanders score some points on this Bears defense, the Bears will have plenty of opportunities to score themselves with that improving offense and they will keep this game close. The Bears will cover the spread in this game.
