Fresno State is coming into this game with a new QB to start the season but other than that they have a lot of returning talent from last year. Fresno State went 10-4 last season under 1st year head coach Jeff Tedford and now that he is in his 2nd season as coach, they will be a much better program this year looking to build off of a great 1st season under Tedford. They still have a very good team with a lot of returning players and they are going up against a Purdue team that has been going through a lot of changes. Purdue fired their head coach last season and now they have a new coach to start this year but they also have a new QB as well in Hudson Card. Card has shown some good flashes when he has had the opportunity but he is not going to just step into a brand new system with this head coach in his 1st season with the team and be ready to go in the season opener. Purdue may be at home here but they are going to struggle in this game as Fresno State has a lot of quality on their side and they are good enough to win this game. Fresno State will cover the spread in this game.
