Oklahoma is coming into this game playing their last season in the Big 12 before they move to the SEC and they are going to be out to make a statement this season. They were awful last season and after the kind of year they had, they will be eager to come out strong in this game and run up the score on a bad Arkansas State team. Oklahoma will be in their 2nd season under Venables now and he was not able to do much last season with the situation he was dropped into but now he has had a year to put his system into place and recruit the right players to fit it. Oklahoma is going to be a much better team this season and they cannot afford to keep this a close game after the season they had last year. The talent is there for them to run up the score here at home and this is one of those games where Oklahoma should score 60 points themselves. Arkansas State may also contribute as their defense was not great last season and Venables is not going to just turn it around completely right away, but either way this game will go over the total. Between these two teams, there will be enough points in this game to push it over the total.
