The Angels are coming into this game after winning their series against the Mets over the weekend but they have not been playing well recently as they are still coming off of a loss in their last game and have lost 5 of their last 7 games as well. Their offense has not been scoring much in that span either and they are going up against a Phillies team that is starting to heat up again. They have won their last 3 straight as well as 5 of their last 6 games and their offense has been very good in those as they have scored at least 6 runs in 3 of their last 4 games. Lucas Giolito is starting for the Angels here and he is 7-10 with a 4.32 ERA this season. He has struggled a lot this season and he has not been any better since coming to the Angels as he has allowed at least 4 runs in 3 of his last 4 starts and has allowed at least 3 runs in each of his last 5 straight. The Phillies offense is heating up again and they are going to score runs here at home with the way Giolito has been pitching recently. Taijuan Walker is starting for the Phillies here and he is 13-5 with a 4.02 ERA this season. He has been pitching very well over the last 3 months, he did go through a bit of a rough patch recently but he has also been pitching much better now as he has allowed less and less runs over his last 3 starts. He will continue to pitch better in this start at home and he will have no issues along with the Phillies bullpen at shutting down this banged up Angels lineup that has not been hitting well recently. The Phillies will win this game at home and keep rolling.
