Florida State returns home to host Boston College. The Seminoles are coming off an upset to Georgia Tech. This is the first game for Boston College this season. Last season, FSU beat the Eagles on the road 31-29. BC has a new head coach in Bill O’Brien. Last year, they finished 7-6 and won their bowl game to finish the season. The Eagles return Thomas Castellanos under center. He threw for 2,146 yards with15 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. He also rushed for 957 yards and scored 11 touchdowns. Kye Robinchaux rushed for 691 yards and seven touchdowns. Boston College averaged 24.8 points per game and they allowed 28.3 points per game. Boston College has covered in three of their last four games against AP-ranked teams. Florida State struggled in their opening game. They were very inconsistent on the offensive side of the ball. DJ Uiagalelei threw for 193 yards, he did not throw a touchdown or an interception. Roydell Williams, led the team with 38 yards and a touchdown. The Seminole defense didn’t record a sack and allowed 190 yards on the ground. The Seminoles went 5-3 against the spread at home. Boston College had the 26th-best passing defense a year ago. Boston College’s strength last season was their rush attack and FSU couldn’t stop the run in their opener. I don’t see FSU losing two in a row but I don’t see them covering either.
