The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers clash with the Jacksonville State Jaguars.The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers will be looking at some major changes as quarterback Grayson McCall left to go to the NC State Wolfpack. Ethan Vasko is expected to take over under center. He threw for 779 yards with seven touchdowns to one interception. Braydon Bennett rushed for 407 yards last season. Jacksonville State Gamecocks Logan Smothers will be under center. He will have two new receivers this season. Last season as a back up, he threw for 735 yards with six touchdowns to four interceptions. They were third in the nation last season in rushing. Overall, they put up 30.2 points per game. Jacksonville State defense allowed 20.3 points per game. Jackson State will have the advantage on the ground in a battle of untested quarterbacks. Coastal Carolina was poor against the run last season and Jacksonville should be able to take advantage using their two-headed rushing attack. Jacksonville State will use their running game and the home crowd to take the first game of the season.
