This will be Flexen's first start since June 22nd when he pitched for Seattle. Oakland is the worst offensive team in the majors scoring just 3.58 runs per game. Colorado is putting up 4.39 runs per game. Chris Flexen has a 10.66 ERA in his last 12.2 innings while Paul Blackburn has a 5.73 ERA in his previous 33 innings pitched. I rarely say bet on Oakland but I like their chances in this one as they have the better pitcher going in this one and no matter how bad their offense is they should be able to score off of Flexen.
