The Tampa Bay Rays will host the Chicago White Sox in the opening game of a three-game set. The Rays are 16-3 to start the season while Chicago has had another disappointing start to the season at 7-12. Calvin Faucher will get the start for the Rays in an opener role as he has not pitched more than innings in his career. Faucher has posted a 4.15 ERA in 8.2 innings pitched and a WHIP of 1.27. The Sox will counter with Michael Kopech on the mound. He has posted a 6.32 ERA in three starts with only 15.2 innings pitched. Kopech has been inconsistent this season and has struggled to find the plate. The Sox bullpen has been bad and the offense is missing some key hitters. The Rays have been brilliant in all aspects of the game so far this season.
