The #25 UTSA Roadrunners take on the #24 Troy Trojans in the Duluth Trading Cure Bowl. UTSA has been on a nice run, winning 10 in a row and going a perfect 8-0 in conference play. They took care of North Texas in the Conference Championship game 48-27. UTSA ranks 11th in points at 37.6 a game. Like UTSA, Troy has also won 10 in a row. They went 7-1 in conference play and took down Coastal Carolina for the Sun Belt Championship. The Trojans rely on a defense that has given up just 17.6 points a game. This game will come down to the UTSA offense against the UAB defense. As good as the UAB defense is, they will need to find ways to get off the field as UTSA is 4th in the country in third-down conversions. They are also good in the red zone, just over 90% of the time. UTSA gives up a lot of yards on defense but has been good at keeping opponents out of the end zone. Troy will need to sustain drives but may find it difficult as they convert on just 34% of their third downs. I like UTSA to win this game outright. I think their offense will be better than Troy's defense and that will make all the difference. I see Troy's offense being almost equal to UTSA's defense.
