(NCAAF) Miami-OH vs. UAB,
Point Spread: 11.50 | -110.00 Miami-OH (Away)
Result: Win
Bowl season begins with the HomeTown Lenders Bahamas Bowl. Miami of Ohio and UAB both enter this game with identical 6-6 records. Miami of Ohio won their last two games of the season to make it to a bowl game. Freshman quarterback Aveon Smith has only played in nine games this season after taking over for Brett Gabbert; after Gabbert got injured.
When tasked with the underdog role, Miami is 4-3 against the spread. Miami has struggled all season on the offensive side, putting up just 20.3 points and 209 yards a game. The defense has played better, allowing 22.5 points a game. UAB finished the season 6-6 and made a bowl for the sixth straight time. Bryant Vincent was named the interim head coach before the season even started but will be replaced next season. They have the Conference USA's offensive player of the year in DeWayne McBride. He averaged 142 yards a game on the ground and recorded 19 total touchdowns this year. The Blazers put up 30.6 points on offense. Miami will have to make stopping McBride a priority. UAB ranks fifth in the country in rushing. Miami has faced 3 of the top 5 rushing teams in their conference this season and won all three games. They have shown that they can slow down if not stop the opponent's rushing attack if they set their minds to it. Maimi is 4-0 against the spread in their last 4 bowl games. The Blazers are 1-6 against the spread in their last seven games overall. I like Miami to keep this one close and itis a lot of points to give in a game that looks evenly matched....MACTION BABY

Play on Miami.
