THE PROFESSOR’S MLB UPPER-DECK BLOWOUT
(MLB) LA Angels vs. Atlanta,
Point Spread: -1.50 | -102.00 Atlanta (Home)
Result: Win
Even with two of the best players in baseball, the Los Angeles Angels have been a huge disappointment this season. Pablo Sandoval will get the start for the Angels against the Braves. He is 3-4 this season with a 3.00 ERA and a 1.43 WHIP. In his last start, he went 4.2 innings and allowed four runs, two earned, against the Dodgers. The Braves will counter with Kyle Wright on the mound. He is 11-4 with a 2.95 ERA and a 1.15 WHIP. In his last start, he went 7 innings and allowed two earned runs. Atlanta is 16-5 in their last 21 home games vs a team with a losing record and 19-7 in their last 26 home games. Los Angeles is 48-99 in their last 147 road games vs a team with a winning record and 15-40 in their last 55 games. Sandoval is 0-3 with a 4.50 ERA in three July starts while Kyle Wright is 2-0 with a 2.50 ERA in three July starts. The Braves are fifth in the majors with a 3.14 reliever ERA while the Angels have a 4.08 bullpen ERA. Wright should dominate this Angels lineup that has struggled at the plate all season. Sandoval has not pitched well as of late and I expect the braves to easily win this one by more than a run.

Play on Atlanta minus 1.5 runs. This is a 6* play.
