Gonzaga posted a 31-2 record last season and was 15-1 in the WCC The Bulldogs would earn both regular-season and tournament before Covid wiped out the season. The Bulldogs lost three of their starters from last year's team. They return, Corey Kispert who averaged 13.9 points and 4.0 rebounds a game to go with Drew Timme and Joel Ayayi. They also have a top-ranked recruit in Jalen Suggs, who should step right in as a freshman.

Kansas went 28-3 last season and 17-1 in Big 12 play. They won another Big 12 regular-season title. The Jayhawks get back three of their starters from last year. They did lose Devon Dotson and their big man Udoka Azubuike. Azubuike was the only player in the Big 12 to average a double-double last season.

The Jayhawks always play great defense but will this team be able to put up points with Dotson and Azubuike gone? They will need to find scoring as they will be facing a Gonzaga team that should once again be one of the top offenses in the country. Their size and length will give the Jayhawks problems. The Zags are the better shooting team and will be looking for them to maintain their number one ranking with a win.
