Point Spread: 4.50 | -105.00 NY Giants (Away)
Result: Win
With a win on Thursday night, the Giants will have won back to back games for the first time since December of last season. They will have to win on the road which has been difficult for them as they have lost eight of their last nine on the road. The offense is led by Daniel Jones has thrown for 1,223 passing yards, to go with three touchdowns and six interceptions. He has thrown just one touchdown pass in his last five games. Darius Slayton and Evan Engram have combined for 583 receiving yards and three touchdowns. The New York Giants rushing attack is putting up 87.8 yards a game. The rushing attack is led by Jones with 204 yards on 27 carries. On the defensive end, they are giving up 25.3 points and 342 yards a game.
The Philadelphia Eagles have also gotten off to a rough start and sit at 1-4-1. The Philadelphia Eagles have not fared well at home losing five of their last seven. The Eagles offense is led by Carson Wentz with 1,401 passing yards, to go with eight touchdowns and nine interceptions. Travis Fulgham and Greg Ward have combined for 475 receiving yards and five touchdowns. The rushing attack is putting up 122.3 yards a game with Miles Sanders rushing for 434 yards and three touchdowns. On the defensive end, they are giving up 29.2 points and 355.2 yards a game.
Carson Wentz is 6-1 in his career against them, but the Philadelphia offense is very bad right now and is dealing with injuries to their offensive weapons. Wentz has also been prone to being sacked, and the Giants have a solid pass rush. The Eagles will also be without top running back, Mile Sanders. The Giants are nothing to write home about on the offensive side of the ball, but they are a bit healthier on that side of the ball, and Devonta Freeman is starting to give the offense another dimension. The Giant's offensive line is still solid, and the Eagles are 24th in the league in passer rating against. The Giants are 17-5 ATS in their last 22 games as a road underdog, while the Eagles are 2-8 ATS in their previous ten home games vs. a team with a losing road record. I am looking for a field goal type of game here so take the points and the Giants.
