(NCAAF) Temple vs. Navy,
Point Spread: -3.00 | -121.00 Temple (Away)
Result: Loss
Navy has struggled to start the season and sits at 1-2 on the season after an embarrassing 40-7 loss to Air Force. Temple, on the other hand, has not played football since a 55-13 loss to North Carolina on Dec. 27. Quarterback Anthony Russo is expected to get the start for Temple. Last season, he threw for 2,861 yards and 21 touchdowns with 12 picks. They return Wideouts Jadan Blue, who had 95 catches for 1,067 yards and Branden Mack 59 catches, 904 yds, and 7 TDs. Re'Mahn Davis led the Owls last season in rushing with 936 yards as a true freshman last season. Last season, the Owls held their opponents to 3.8 yards per carry.

This season has been a letdown for Navy fans. The offense is led by Dalen Morris 155 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions. Mark Walker and Mychal Cooper have combined for 167 receiving yards and one touchdown. The Navy rushing attack averages 137.6 yards a game with Jamale Carothers has rushed for 176 yards on 42 carries. On the defensive side of the ball, they are giving up 39.7 points and 454.3 yards a game. heir triple option can control the ball and the clock. This has been a different Navy team this year as they are rushing for just 3.2 yards per carry and 138 yards a game.

Navy is not a good team this season. Morris will help the offense but he doesn't run the option that well. The offensive line has not done the running game any favors as they have not done a good job of creating running lanes for the navy runners. Temple has an experienced defensive and have had plenty of time to prepare for Navy and plenty of rest. Navy's defense is small and if the offense can control the ball the Owls offense should be able to rack up some yards on the ground. should be able to run the ball which will open up passing lanes for Russo to exploit.
