Florida State lost their first game of the season to Georgia Tech in what was a disappointing start to the season. What is even worse is that they now have to go into this game against one of their rivals without their Head Coach Mike Norvell, who is out with COVID. Florida States offense managed just 13 points while their defense allowed just 16. Quarterback James Blackmon threw for 198 yards, a touchdown, and an interception.
Miami Hurricanes have won their first two games to start the season. The took care of UAB 31-14 to start the season and then pounded Louisville 47-34 in their second game. Quarterback transfer D’Eriq King has been everything that was advertised. He threw for 325 yards and three touchdowns against Louisville. They do need to shore up their defense though as they gave up 34 points in their last game.
The road team is 12-2 against the spread in their last 14 meetings between Florida State and Miami. Florida State's offense struggled against Georgia Tech and I don't see how that will change against Miami. Miami has had things going on the offensive end with King running the show. I look for Miami to roll and if they get a chance I can see them trying to score as many points as they can against their in-state rival.
Play on Miami.
