The Padres took two of three games from the Seattle Mariners over the weekend. The Padres offense has been led by Manny Machado with 16 homers with 46 RBI, and a .314 batting average. Fernando Tatis is hitting .278 with 15 homers and 41 RBI. The Padres will send Zach Davies to the mound against the Angels. He has made 10 starts his season and has posted a 7-3 record with a 2.69 ERA and 55 strikeouts in 60.1 innings.

The Angels are 6-14 in their last 20 interleague games and 7-18 in their last 25 road games versus a right-handed starter. The Padres are 17-5 in the last 22 games as a favorite. San Diego is 21-5 in the last 26 games as a home favorite.

Davies has had a great season for the Padres this season. The Padres offense can be explosive and the combination of Davies and their offense will overpower the Angels in this one.
