The Dallas Stars were able to get by the Colorado Avalanche in seven games. The offense is led by Joe Pavelski with eight goals, and Miro Heiskanen has added 16 helpers. As a team, they are putting up 3.31 goals a game and on the defensive end, they are giving up 3.5 goals a game. On special teams, they are scoring on 28.3 percent of their power plays and they are killing off 82.3 percent of their penalties.

The Vegas Golden Knights are coming off a seven-game series over the Vancouver Canucks. The offense is led by Alex Tuch eight goals, and Shea Theodore has added 10 helpers. As a team, they are putting up 3.27 goals a game and on the defensive end, they are giving up 2.33 goals a game. On special teams, they are scoring on 20.5 percent of their power plays and they are killing off 87.8 percent of their penalties.

Both teams will come out strong on the defensive end as they both will not want to give up an early goal. Dallas found some scoring punch against the Av's but Vegas has a better defense than Colorado. Dallas can shut down any team with their D so I like the first game of the series to go under the total.
