The Arizona Coyotes are coming off an impressive 3-1 qualifying win over the Nashville Predators. st of five series. The won the last three games against the Predators and a win in game one against Colorado would definitely give them momentum. During the regular season, They lost 2 of three to the Avalanche. The Coyotes are not known for their offensive prowess, putting up just 2.71 goals a game. Against Nashville, they increased their output to 3.5 goals a game. On the defensive end during the season, they allowed 2.61 goals a game and 2.75 goals to Nashville. Phil Kessel, Taylor Hall, and Oliver Ekman-Larsson each have one goal and three assists in four games.
The Avalanche had a chance at the top seed but lost to Vegas in there last game. They may be better off with the second seed instead of playing the dangerous Chicago Blackhawks. Unlike Arizona, Colorado found ways to put the puck in the net. The Avalance average 3.37 goals per game. On the defensive end, they allowed 2.71 goals a game, and in the playoffs, they have improved to just 1.66 goals. Their output was down against Arizona, putting up just 2 goals a game but they did come away with 2 wins in three tries. In the seeding round, Nazem Kadri has one goal and three assists. Mikko Rantanen has four helpers and Joonas Donskoi has two goals and one assist.
The Avalanche defense played well during the season and have stepped it up in the playoffs. Arizona struggles to score and even though they play good defense they will find it hard to slow Colorado down, especially if the Lanche scores the first goal. I am looking for value here and taking Colorado on the PUCK-LINE.
Play on Colorado.
