**80% IN WEEK 5!** 10* BIG 12 TOTAL OF YEAR
(NCAAF) Texas Tech vs. Oklahoma State,
Total: 70.00 | -110.00 Under
Result: Loss
This is a 10* BIG 12 TOTAL OF THE YEAR on the UNDER Texas Tech/Oklahoma State.

Both teams have been playing to several higher-scoring games to open the season, but I expect those trends to end here in Week 6.

Texas Tech is 3-2 and it's seen the total go OVER the number in four of its first five games, including in its 37-28 loss at K-State as a 7.5-point underdog last weekend. The week before that it managed the 37-34 OT home win over Texas as as 7-point underdog.

Oklahoma State is 4-0 and it's seen the total go OVER the number in three of its first four games, including in its 36-25 win at Baylor last weekend.

In the loss to K-State, TT QB Donovan Smith had 359 yards, two TD's, but also two INT's.

The Cowboys are "lucky" to escape with a road win last week, as they gave up 22 third quarter points. Spencer Sanders was efficient, finishing with 181 yards and a TD. He also ran for 75 yards and a TD as well.

This is an important game for both teams, but it's going to be much more of a defensive battle, and a contest where field position really does matter, than what the oddsmakers are trying to lead us to believe by setting this really sky-high O/U total.

For all the reasons listed above, the play is the UNDER.

Good luck, NP
