This is an 8* TOTAL SPECIAL on the UNDER Buffalo/Bowling Green.

Both teams have been playing to several higher-scoring games to open the season, but that fact has only helped in driving this Week 6 MAC battle a few points higher than it normally would/should be in my opinion.

Buffalo has seen the total go OVER the number in three of five games this year. It's coming off a lower-scoring 24-20 win over Miami Ohio and I expect it to keep that momentum rolling here. Especially on the defensive end.

Bowling Green has seen the total go OVER the number in all five of its contests to open the season, including in its 31-28 road win at Arkansas as a 9-point favorite last weekend. That's signficant to note here though, as the Falcons have seen the total go UNDER the number in eight of their last 11 after playing to five or more straight OVERs in a row.

Both teams are 2-3, so this is a big game here and with a spread like this (the Green Falcons favored by just two-points) the oddsmakers are expecting a tight battle.

The Bulls have lost six of their last nine on the road. QB Cole Snyder has eight touchdowns and three interceptions. The ground game has been effective, averaging 123.6 YPG.

The Green Falcons have lost five of their last eight on the road. QB Matt McDonald has thrown for 937 yards, 13 TD's and jjust one INT. The ground game averages 103 yards per game.

These teams have been terrible defensively to this point, but each catches a break here.

Look for this total to stay well UNDER the posted number.
