This is an 8* TOTAL SPECIAL on the OVER Padres/D-Backs.

Neither team has been great offensively this year. The Padres average 4.36 runs per game (which ranks 16th), and the Diamondbacks average 4.44 (which ranks 13th.)

But despite that, I just don't trust either of these starters.

Blake Snell is 6-9 with a 4.02 ERA for the Padres. He's been hit or miss this year and has clearly fallen off BIG TIME since his Cy Young season with the Rays.

And then Madison Bumgarner is 6-14 with a 4.88 ERA for the Diamondbacks.

Bumgarner is winless against the Padres as part of Arizona, going 0-6 with a 6.17 ERA, including going 0-3 with a 5.29 ERA this season.

The Padres have scored just three runs over their last 33 innings. They're now only 1.5 games up on Milwaukee for the wildcard. It's now or never.

Everything points to this one flying OVER the posted number sooner, rather than later.
