Both teams have been involved in several lower-scoring games of late, but we're expecting those trends to end this evening.

The Tigers have seen the total go UNDER in six of their last ten, including in two straight. They've also lost two in a row, including yesterday's series opener here by a score of 4-0.

Note that Detroit has seen the total go OVER the number in eight of its last 12 in trying to avenge a shutout road loss against an opponent.

Cleveland has seen the total go UNDER in four straight, which is significant to note in this case, as despite breaking a two-game slide in yesterday's lower-scoring win, the Guardians have still seen the total go OVER the number in seven of their last ten after playing to three or more straight UNDERS in a row.

Neither starter has been terrible this year, but neither has been great either. Drew Hutchinson is 1-4 with a 4.08 ERA for the Tigers, while Zach Plesac is 2-7 with a 3.99 ERA for the Guardians.

Plesac has been a victim of poor run support, as Cleveland has posted just seven runs over his last five starts combined.

A date vs. Hutchinson is just what the doctor ordered for Cleveland though, as he's 1-1 with a 6.75 ERA in five career games vs. the Guardians.

Look for this one to fly OVER the number sooner, rather than later.
