This is a 9* TOP NL TOTAL on the OVER Pirates/Brewers.

Neither team has played to many high-scoring affairs of late, but we're expecting those trends to finally end this afternoon.

We, unfortunately, had play on the OVER between these two teams yesterday, and while that pick came up short in the Pirates 4-3 victory, we're confident that Sunday's contest will eclipse the posted total sooner, rather than later.

Milwaukee has seen the total go UNDER the number in three straight, which is significant to note in our case here as the Brewers have seen the total go OVER in five of their last seven after playing to three or more straight UNDERS in a row.

The Pirates have now seen the total go UNDER in four straight.

Jose Quintana (2-4, 3.33 ERA) gets the nod for the Pirates, and while he's had plenty of success vs. the Brewers in the past, we feel that he's finally in the wrong place at the wrong time here facing this revenge-minded home side.

The Brewers are still 9-3 vs. Pittsburgh this year, outscoring them 72-40. Eric Lauer (6-3, 3.84) will counter for Milwaukee. He's been decent as well this year, but like his counterpart, we're expecting him to get chased early.

This O/U line is now just a bit TOO low, the play is the OVER.
