Both teams have been playing to several lower-scoring games of late, but we're expecting those trends to end tonight.
The Reds have seen the total go UNDER in two straight. They've lost two straight as well, falling 7-0 and 5-4 to the Diamondbacks at home and going 1-2 overall.
St. Louis won't be lacking for motivation here either after three straight losses. It's seen the toal go UNDER in three of its last four, including in yesterday's 2-1 loss at Tampa Bay.
The Cardinals hand the ball to rookie Andre Pallante (1-0, 1.23 ERA), who made his first start of the year vs. the Cubs on the 4th, allowing one run over four innings. The Cards' rotation is decimated with injury right now, so Pallante will get another shot here, but I say that regession is now finally imminent.
Note that he did allow four walks against the Cubs as well.
Luis Castillo (2-3, 3.55) counters for Cincinnati. He's 6-7 with a 4.41 ERA in 17 career starts against the Reds.
