VERY EARLY SPECIAL TOTAL - 32-17 (+$13K)
(MLB) Washington vs. Atlanta,
Total: 9.00 | -120.00 Under
Result: Win
Total: 9.00 | -120.00 Under
Result: Win
This is an 8* SPECIAL on the UNDER Nationals/Braves.
These two teams have been playing to some high-scoring games to oopen the season, but that's now driven this particular total a few points higher than it normally would be.
Atlanta has seen the total go 4-1-1 to the OVER this year. That includes in both games against Washington, first losing 11-2 at home, before bouncing back in yesterday's 16-4 victory.
Washington has seen the total go 3-3, but I'm expecting a much better effort on the mound from its starting pitcher this evening.
Both of these starters are coming off terrible opening day starts, but I expect a much better performance with those awkward games out of the way.
Josiah Gray allowed four runs off nine hits over four innings in a loss to the Mets on Friday for the Nationals. He had two walks and five strikeouts.
Max Fried comes in off a stinker as well for the Braves, allowing five runs off eight hits over six innings in a loss to the Reds on Thursday.
Last year Fried was 7-3 with a 2.96 ERA in front of the home town crowd though.
I say each of these capable starters bounces back after Opening Day jitters, and I look for this finale to stay well UNDER the number in the process.
Good luck, NP
