Detroit is limping towards the finish line here. I don't think that Dallas will run up the score here, instead I expect it to "control" this game down the stretch and ultimately I believe this style of game-play will help in driving this total well UNDER the number once the final buzzer sounds.
The Pistons have actually been money in the bank for bettors over the last two weeks, as they've covered in five straight. They've actually won three straight games as well. The last two have been on the road even!
I think this non-conference game though finally sets up as a classic letdown spot for Detroit. The Pistons still only average 104.8 PPG.
Dallas has also been playing well. It most recently pulled away for a 118-112 upset road win at Milwaukee as a 6.5-point underdog.
The Mavericks have now seen the total go OVER in four straight, which is good in our case here, as Dallas has seen the total go UNDER in seven of its last ten after playing to three or more straight OVERS in a row.
Dallas ends the year with straight very winnable games with Portland and San Antonio at home to finish things off.
As I stated off the top, I believe the Mavericks slow this one down and when you add it all of the above factors together, I think this total is indeed a tad bit high.
