Tampa is off a 3-2 loss at Boston, and the Lightning have in fact lost three in a row.

Tampa though has seen the total go OVER the number in eight of its last ten after playing to three or more straight losses in a row.

The good news for the defending champs here is that they're still averaging 3.29 goals per game, which ranks eighth.

And now they face one of the worst defenses in the entire league in the Wings, who allow 3.72 goals per game, which ranks 31st.

Detroit has been trading wins and losses over its last five games and it's coming off a 5-2 loss at the Islanders. It plays with revenge here after a 3-1 loss at Tampa in early March.

And while that total did go UNDER the number, I say this rematch finally sets up as more of a wide open shootout.

I'm not going to lay the large price on the Lightning on the road. I'm not interested in taking the home side on the puck line option, but as far as the total is concerned, I say this one definitely sets up as a higher-scoring shootout.
