This is a 10* TOP TOTAL on the OVER Canucks/Avs.

Vancouver has likely done better than most thought it would this season, as it's 30-26-6-3 overall. including a respectable 16-13-1-2 on the road.

The Canucks are huge underdogs here though still. They average 2.81 goals per game, while allowing 2.86. Obviously that's not the best recipie for success over the long term.

Vancouver won't be lacking for motivation here after three straight home losses though, including a 3-2 overtime setback to Buffalo in the most recent.

I like betting on motivated teams when I'm betting on OVERS, so I think Vancouver will find the back of the net a couple times against Colorado.

The Canucks have a really tough game at Minnesota as well the following night, so they can't afford to look past the Avalanche.

And for the Avs, they average 3.83 goals per game, while allowing 2.76.

Colorado beat Vancouver 4-2 in mid November and I think the Avs can match that amount of goals here again as well.

But that said, I'm obviously not going to lay this huge price, and I'm not really interested in playing the puck line option either. As far as the total is concerned, I think this one definitely lines up as a higher-scoring shootout.
