This is a 6* BIG-CHALK RUN-LINE BLOWOUT on the Cleveland Indians.
With last night's 3-2 extra innings loss, their fourth straight, the White Sox have now lost their grip on top spot in the AL Central, sitting a .5 game back of the Twins.
Chicago though can salvage their recent slide with a win today and move back into a tie with the Twins, before a tough season-ending three-game series at home vs. the cross town rival Cubs.
Dallas Keuchel (6-2, 2.04 ERA) gets the call for the visitors and he's 4-1 with a 2.79 ERA in eight career appearances vs. the Tribe.
Zach Plesac (4-2, 1.85) gets the call for the home side and he's 1-2 with a 2.42 ERA in four career starts vs. the White Sox.
I think these starters are a "wash."
I believe that Chicago though is for sure the more desperate team here and I think that's going to matter. With a "cream puff" three-game series at home vs. the Pirates to end the season, the stage is set for Cleveland to finally have a letdown here.
That said, I envision this contest once again being decided late or in extra innings (just like the last two have been), so in that case, I definitely have no issues laying the larger price for the extra 1.5 runs in our back pocket.
That's the play, the WHITE SOX on the RUN LINE!
Good luck, NP
