This is an 8* SITUATIONAL RUN LINE BLOWOUT on the Colorado Rockies.
Jose Urias (3-0, 3.53 ERA) and the Dodgers come to Coors Field after taking two of three from the Padres, including a 7-5 win yesterday.
But note that LA comes to town without Joc Peerson (family medical) and Caleb Ferguson, who faced one batter yesterday, before then injuring himself. Justin Turner is back, but he's been kept on a short leash before the playoffs.
Urias has been terrible as well vs. the Rockies and at Coors: in six starts vs. the Rockies he's 0-1 with a 6.29 ERA and he owns a disastrously poor 7.71 ERA at Coors in five games.
Kyle Freeland (2-1, 3.54) is making his 12th start against the Dodgers, going 2-4 with a 4.29 ERA over that span, including a very respectable 2-2 with a 4.56 ERA at home.
The Dodgers are in cruise control now as we get closer to the playoffs, while the Rockies are fighting tooth and nail for a spot in the post-season:
"If we're not one of those eight teams, that's not a very good sign," Rockies' third baseman Nolan Arenado said last night. "Our goal is to get in the playoffs every year, but with eight teams, we've got to find a way to fight to get in."
I'm laying the very reasonable price for the exra 1.5 runs in my back pocket, but I still wouldn't be shocked by an outright upset either!
Good luck, NP
