This is a 10* ACC GAME OF THE MONTH on Florida State.
Mike Norvell is the new head coach at FSU and after two straight years of sub-par performance under Willie Taggert, and I think he'll push his team from start to finish here as it looks to run up the score.
Note that under Norvell's direction last year, the Memphis Tigers won the AAC and averaged 40.5 PPG.
The Yellowjackets struggled to a 3-9 record under Geoff Collin's spread philosophy. Georgia Tech is in complete rebuild mode and the starting QB hasn't even been officially announced as of Friday and writing this. James Graham completed only 45 percent of his passes and the defense was even worse, conceding 432 yards per game.
FSU returns starting QB James Blackmon and WR Tamorrian Terry. The defense was poor last year, but ten of 11 starters are back on that side of the ball and that doesn't bode well for this brutal Jackets' offense.
FSU has some serious issues to address, but it couldn't have asked for a better opponent to do that against.
Look for Blackmon and company to shake off a couple of frustrating seasons with a big victory at home vs. this terrible Georgia Tech team.
Lay the points, the play is FSU!
Good luck, NP
