Both teams disappointed last season as they both missed the postseason with subpar performances. Boston made some aggressive moves to add to their rotation, dealing from a position of strength with their farm system to add Crochet. We’ll have to see how he does with going deep in games as he went at least six innings only 11 times in 32 starts and none after June 19. The Red Sox are a deep team and they have seemingly, at least on paper, addressed most of the issues that plagued them a season ago. While they’ll likely be cautious with Crochet’s pitch count in his debut, this game goes to the visitors as I’m not sold on the majority of the arms the Rangers brought in to help their bullpen.
